A dominant display of athleticism defined the 2026 Inter-Primary Cricket Rallies, as Island Primary B and Footsteps School emerged as champions. Over two days of high-intensity, eight-over matches, the young competitors navigated a grueling group stage and tight semi-final contests to secure their respective tournament victories.
Island Primary B claimed the girls' title on 28 April, edging out Edna Moyle Primary School in a 76-run to 62-run final. The path to the trophy required a narrow 33-29 semi-final victory over East End Primary, following a successful campaign in Group 1. Cayman Prep secured third place after defeating East End Primary 79 runs to 48 runs. The following day, Footsteps School made history by clinching their first boys' inter-primary title, overwhelming St Ignatius Catholic School with a 79-run to 30-run finish. Their journey included a hard-fought 55-50 semi-final win against Island Primary B, who rebounded later that day to defeat Cayman International School for third place. The tournament, managed by the Department of Education Services, the Department of Sports, and the Cayman Cricket Association, resumes league play on 8 May.
