Luke Dashjris a prolific free software andBitcoin developerwith over 23 years of experience. He began his career in 2001 as a developer for the Kye 3.0 game and later became a developer for Gentoo Linux. He joined the Bitcoin project in 2011 and has since madesignificant contributions to Bitcoin Core, including developing the modified version of BFG Miner, presenting BIP-2 and supporting the activation of Segwit.

Dashjr is known for his cybersecurity and optimization work and is ranked 11th in the ranking of contributors to the Bitcoin Core code. He is a Roman Catholic and a family man with seven children.
