Pete Smith

Pete Smith is an accomplished Sales and Business Development Manager with a strong focus on Data, AI, and the Internet of Things (IoT), actively contributing to the tech sector across the UKI, EMEA, and North America. His extensive career involves managing sales channels, developing business strategies, and fostering partner relationships, particularly in the IoT ecosystem, working with prominent vendors like IBM and Cloudera. As the co-host of the IoTea and Biscuits Podcast, Pete engages global IoT leaders, demonstrating his thought leadership in the industry.

Currently serving as the Senior Business Development Manager for Data, AI, and IoT at TD SYNNEX, Pete leads the IBM Fast Track team, driving strategic initiatives and managing vendor relationships across EMEA.

Alongside his corporate role, Pete is a dedicated Guest Lecturer at the University of Derby and Sheffield Hallam University, sharing insights on technology careers, employability, and IoT.

In previous roles, Pete excelled as the Head of Sales and Marketing at IAconnects Technology Ltd and contributed significantly to the IoT landscape. During his tenure at IBM, his roles included Watson IoT Global Business Partner Manager and Internet of Things Business Partner Manager.
