Boris Scharinger
Boris Scharinger is a customer focused, technology inspired CTO leading in the field of Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and related change and transformation processes. With over three decades of working in the field of technology, Boris has contributed to several publications, including white papers and reports on topics such as service integration and management, fabric-based computing, and the concept of Liquid IT.
Boris is the Senior Innovation Manager and Technology Strategist in the CTO Office at Siemens in Nuremberg, Germany. His responsibilities include innovation management, the development of technology strategies and roadmaps, and technology scouting. His areas of expertise encompass startups, quantum computing, industrial AI, scaling artificial intelligence, ecosystems, and the data economy.
Prior to this, Boris has held multiple senior level positions at global corporations like Atos (as the Account CTO for Nokia Networks). He was also involved in pre-sales work and sales support, contributing to significant projects such as the Citrix Innovation Award-winning mobility portal solution for Nokia Solutions and Networks.
In addition to his work at Siemens, Scharinger has been an advisor at ObjectBox since April 2021, providing guidance to the creators of a high-speed NoSQL database with integrated data synchronization for edge and mobile environments.
On the personal side of life, Boris is an art enthusiast with a special passion for mosaics, both from an art history perspective as well as contemporary mosaics for the beauty of the medium.
