Sandy Carter

Sandy Carter is the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Go-to-Market at Unstoppable Domains. She oversees sales, marketing, communications, community, legal, customer success, and global operations. Under her leadership, the company achieved Unicorn status and recorded 2300% growth. Sandy has also focused on usingArtificial Intelligenceto support the company’s blockchain and Web3 strategies.

Her latest book,AI First, Human Always, explores the critical balance between advancing artificial intelligence and preserving human values in decision-making, leadership, and innovation. It provides a framework for responsible technology adoption in businesses and society during the rise of superintelligent systems.

She serves on the Board of Directors atAltair(NASDAQ: ALTR), a company focused on AI and simulation. As a Forbes Contributor, Sandy writes about AI,blockchain, Web3, and digital identity. She is also a Fellow at The Digital Economist, where she contributes to global initiatives in technology and economic policy.

Before joining Unstoppable Domains, Sandy was Vice President atAmazon Web Services. There, she launched the Enterprise Workload division, generating $5 billion in revenue and 55% year-over-year growth. She introduced key AI and IoT services and led diversity initiatives, including women’s leadership groups.

Sandy spent nearly 14 years atIBM, where she held roles such as Channel Chief, Chief Sales Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer. She led multiple product and marketing teams and helped build a $7 billion business in AI, cloud, and IoT.

She is the founder of Women of Web3 and Silicon-Blitz and has written three books:The New Language of Business,The New Language of Marketing, andGet Bold. Sandy is an international speaker, having presented in over 80 countries, and is an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University.

Sandy has received many honours, including recognition from Forbes, CNN, CRN, and Onalytica. She chaired the Board of Girls in Tech for eight years and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Diversity and Inclusion group.

She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Duke University. Her work focuses on innovation, AI, Web3, and digital identity.
