Humayun Sheikh
Humayun Sheikh is the CEO and Co-founder ofFetch.ai, a decentralised platform that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology to create autonomous economic agents (AEAs) capable of executing tasks on the blockchain. Founded in 2017, Fetch.ai aims to revolutionise sectors such as mobility, energy, and infrastructure by enabling decentralised services that operate without human intervention. The Fetch.ai network went live with its mainnet, following its Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) on Binance.
Sheikh has also been a founding investor inDeepMind, a company that pioneered advancements in AI and was later acquired byGoogle. His early-stage investment in DeepMind highlights his commitment to the advancement of AI and deep learning technologies. Additionally, he was an early investor in PLUMgrid, a cloud solution provider that was later acquired byVMware.
Prior to his work at Fetch.ai, Sheikh was the Chairman of Mettalis Group, a UK-based commodities trading company. He also co-founded itzMe, a machine learning and AI company, and served as its CEO.
Sheikh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, and has also attended the Cambridge Judge Entrepreneurship Centre for Business Administration and Management. His work continues to shape the future of AI-driven decentralised systems, and Fetch.ai remains at the forefront of creating open and inclusive digital economies.
