Sanjay Nalbalwar
Prof. Sanjay Nalbalwar is an Indian academic and researcher in the field of electronics and telecommunication engineering. He received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree and Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree from SGGSCET, Nanded, and completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
With nearly 35 years of teaching experience, Sanjay is the Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), Lonere, Maharashtra.
His research interests include signal and image processing, multirate signal processing and wavelets, stochastic process modelling, and quantum computing. He has published around 150 research papers in conference proceedings and more than 125 papers in national and international journals. He has also authored four books related to signal processing and communication, including one published by AICTE and translated into 12 Indian languages.
In addition to his research work, Prof. Nalbalwar has played an active role in academic leadership and research development. He has organised several international and national conferences and conducted more than 25 workshops and faculty development programmes.
He has supervised 20 Ph.D. scholars and over 50 postgraduate students, while continuing to guide several research scholars.
He serves on the editorial boards of multiple journals and is a reviewer for several international publications.
At DBATU, he is also the Dean (Academics), Director of Information and Communication Technology, Director and CEO of the DBATU Forum of Innovation, Incubation and Enterprise, and Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell.
He has also contributed to national education initiatives, including the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and the translation of technical books into Marathi through AICTE programmes, while working with organisations such as AICTE, UGC, NAAC, and MHRD as an expert.
