Vinay Gupta
Vinay Guptais a technology strategist, visionary thinker, and expert in the field of blockchain technology. He is the Founder and CEO of Mattereum, a blockchain-based platform that aims to create a system of digital twin contracts for physical assets. Gupta has over 20 years of experience working in the field of technology, specifically in software development, strategy and consultancy.
Born to an Indian father and a Scottish mother, Gupta grew up in the United Kingdom. He studied computer science at the University of Edinburgh, but left without completing his degree. Despite this, he was able to builda successful career in the technology industry.He worked for companies such as Silicon Graphics and was involved in the development of the Internet Archive.
Gupta became interested in the concept of blockchain technology in the early 2010s. He was a member of the Ethereum team and co-ordinated the release of the blockchain platform in July 2015. Ethereum is a decentralized platform that enables the creation of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps). Gupta was alsoa strategic architect for ConsenSys Systems,a technology hub focusing on the Ethereum blockchain and related applications.
