Tim Swanson

Tim Swanson is a thought leader in the blockchain community and author of three books, currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has extensive experience working in East Asia, having spent more than six years there. He was previouslya fellow at the Singapore University of Social Sciencesandthe Sim Kee Boon Institute at Singapore Management University. Swanson wasthe first advisor at Hyperledger,an advisor at Clearmatics, and a consultant with Elm Labs. He was most recently the director of market research at R3, the first blockchain enterprise consortium for the financial services industry.

At R3, Swanson assessed several hundred entities, including companies, startups, and universities, working on some type of blockchain initiative. This experience gave him a full range of good, bad, and ugly business operations and blockchain propositions that existed in the early stages of this industry. Swanson's most notable work within the space happened during his time at R3.

Swanson has been featured in various publications, including Folha de S.Paulo, Business Insider, International Business Times (U.K.), The Sacramento Bee, American Banker, Bozeman Daily Chronicle, and TabbFORUM.
